Cookie policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

A cookie is a small file a site saves in your browser. Browsers also offer “local storage”, which works the same way. Here is what Amplify saves there, and why.

On our site amplify.tn

No cookies, no analytics, no advertising.

In the app app.amplify.tn

Only what it needs to work, which is why we don't ask for consent:

  • the session cookie (better-auth.session_token): keeps you signed in. It expires after 7 days without a visit, or when you sign out;
  • sidebar_state: remembers whether the side menu is open or closed (7 days);
  • in local storage: your theme (light or dark), the order alert sound, whether the assistant panel is open, and that you've read the cookie notice.

In stores

Stores hosted by Amplify save in their visitors' browsers:

  • the cart (local storage), so it's still there on the next visit;
  • a random visit identifier (local storage), to count visitors without identifying them. We don't link it to any personal data;
  • the state of a purchase in progress (session storage, cleared when the tab is closed).

If the merchant connects their Meta Pixel, the store also loads Meta's script, which sets its own cookies (_fbp, and _fbc when the visitor comes from a Facebook or Instagram ad, for 90 days) to measure how ads perform. These cookies aren't needed for the store to work; the merchant who turns on the Pixel is responsible for telling their visitors. Meta's cookie policy explains how they are used.

Controlling them

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time in your browser's settings, or block them. Blocking the session cookie stops you from signing in to the app; in a store, the cart won't be kept.
